Coney Island

I was going to head out to Coney Island today to take pictures of a dance party happening on the boardwalk, but the pouring rain proved to be a strong deterrent. Coney Island is one of my favorite places in NYC, and I've been reading about the history and visiting Coney since I first arrived here. It's like no other place in the city. In lieu of making the trek out there today, I spent some time looking through the images I took a few weeks ago, when I took a couple of friends from out of town there. It was their first time there, and I had a blast being their tour guide, and boring them to death with history and facts about the island (really a peninsula...see what I mean...boring...) We rode the Wonder Wheel (which is kind of difficult to take pictures out of, although I hope to try again soon), walked the length of the boardwalk, shared a lot of french fries and generally enjoyed ourselves.
